Digilogic became Certified Technical Partners with Tiger Technology
Certified Technical Partners
Shaun De Ponte and Arno Durandt, co-founders of Digilogic, together with Peter Hangelbroek from Pinata Media Solutions, made their way to Bulgaria, Sofia, home of Tiger Technology, where they received one-on-one training on their product range and became the only Certified Technical Partners in Africa.
The Tiger Box Shared Storage Workflow System is a state of the art, powerful, integrated intelligent storage system designed to solve storage workflow challenges in content-centric applications.
With just a few clicks, create a powerful shared storage network, using the connection of your choice to share media and metadata among users and suites, and collaborate on projects. Easily manage your SAN with a simple web UI, and let Tiger Box handle file system and sequence defragmentation for maximum performance, productivity, and uptime.
Digilogic with Tiger Technology at MediaTech
Digilogic were proud to share a Tiger Technology stand with their technical partner Syntech, where the complete Tiger Workflow was demonstrated.
Replication and Tiering:
The replication volume is the storage to which data is migrated from the faster shared Tiger Series connected storage. You can set any network share accessible to Tiger Box/Tiger Serve as a replication volume. Projects and media are easily backed up to specific volumes, and you can change the replication volume at any time (for example, when the current network share is full) with a single mouse click.
A user-configured policy governs what data on the shared storage should be backed up to the replication volume based on two parameters – where this data is stored (all data on the shared storage, all data except data in specific folders or just data in specific folders), and its modification date.
For example, if you have selected “Replicate everything” and add a folder Drafts to the list of exceptions, the replication mechanism will omit all files located in the folder Drafts. Or, if you have selected “Do not replicate” and add to the exceptions list a folder “Final”, containing just the final versions of the files you’ve been working on, only files in this folder and none of the files in the other folders on the shared storage will be replicated.
You can change the replication policy settings at any time. The new settings will be valid for the next time the replication mechanism scans the shared storage for data to replicate.
Any file (media or metadata) that matches the replication criteria is queued for backup. The replication queue is processed only when the storage is in an idle state. When I/O activity is detected on the storage, the replication is paused until the storage is idle again.
By default, replicated data is left on Tiger Box/Tiger Serve and so remains available on both the shared storage and the replication volume. The integrated browser makes identifying and handling the replicated data easy, If a file is modified after it has been backed up, it will be replicated again once it again matches the policy criteria. Tiger Technology Tiger Serve and Tiger Box provide you with a fully automated and policy driven Hierarchical Storage Management solution.
Project Store Pro
projectStore greatly simplifies collaborative workflows by providing users with a check-in/check-out type project-based control that eliminates the need for admins to continuously update folder permission settings to reflect a dynamic workflow. Ingest, logging, editing, special F/X, color-grading, graphics and audio sweetening can all happen simultaneously, using the same media files and projects.
